The company’s success can be attributed to its core values, which prioritises quality of product and excellence in service with consideration toward their environmental responsibility. Kieran McCabe, Managing Director of RGVA comments “As a large converter of PVC materials, we wanted to make sure we were doing our part to reduce our environmental impact. Measuring our specific footprint and implementing meaningful processes to reduce it seemed like such a complex and daunting task at first but CarbonQuota has helped every step of the way. Ultimately, we want to be in a position to show our customers, and competitors alike, how the printed graphics industry can and are making positive changes for the environment”
RGVA, as one of the founding members of SAISAG (Self-Adhesive Industry Sustainability Action Group), recognised that a true understanding of their organisational carbon footprint was an essential starting point to drive improvements, resulting in their partnership with CarbonQuota.
The collaboration with CarbonQuota holds particular significance as it establishes a concrete baseline for RGVA Ltd. to embark on a journey of informed sustainability initiatives. The CarbonQuota assessment confirmed RGVA’s carbon footprint for the reporting year 2021/2022 at 80tonnes of CO2e. This certified figure provides the company with a clear reference to measure its progress and track its efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the years to come.
CarbonQuota’s unique sector-specific data and algorithms have played a pivotal role in delivering credible and scientifically robust calculations, setting a standard for accuracy and reliability. These findings are instrumental in guiding RGVA toward tailored initiatives, ensuring their efforts are effective and impactful.
“As a business, we have a responsibility to do our part in carbon reduction, understanding our existing footprint gives us a baseline to work from and improve. This subject sits very high on our agenda and is something that our whole team is very passionate about” said Kieran McCabe, Managing Director of RGVA Vehicle Graphics.
CarbonQuota’s findings are accompanied by a series of actionable carbon cutting recommendations. These initiatives offer a framework for further improvements, aligning with RGVA’s overarching carbon reduction goals and satisfying the growing demand for environmentally conscious partners in their industry.
This collaboration between RGVA Vehicle Graphics and CarbonQuota signifies a major step forward in the quest for improving the environmental impact associated with the manufacturing of vehicle graphics. By reducing their carbon footprint and embracing their sustainability journey, RGVA aims to inspire others in the industry and lead by example.
