Air Purifying Banners

RGVA have been offering environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional PVC vinyl for many years. Always looking to help the environment further, we are proud to be pioneering Air Purifying Banners, which help transport operators reduce the harmful gasses emitted by all vehicles that burn fossil fuels whilst at the same time allowing businesses to capitalise on using their vehicles for advertising.
The Clean Air by Resysten component comprises a nano-titania coating, triggering a photocatalytic process when exposed to light on the treated surface. This catalyst transforms the nearby air or air passing through into Hydroxyl radicals, known as the “detergent” of the troposphere. These radicals react with pollutants, breaking them down via oxidation into less harmful compounds like water and nitrate, which are then absorbed into the ground.
The additive has been scientifically proven to remove 0.222g/m² of NOx per day, so for a
standard 13m artic trailer, this equates to approximately 5.18kg NOx per year, equivalent
to approximately 1.54t of CO2!
A clear spray-on coating that bonds to hard surfaces and actively breaks down pollutants in the atmosphere, primarily targeting NOx, when exposed to light. Clean Air by Resysten is proven to remove dangerous substances which are significantly more harmful to health than CO2 emissions. It’s time to take your sustainability journey to the next level.
The Problem with NOx is that 99% of the world’s population live in areas that exceed safe air pollution limits. NO2 is a gas that is produced along with nitric oxide (NO) by combustion processes. Together they are often referred to as NOx. (Defra) estimates that 80% of NOx emissions in areas where the UK is exceeding NO2 limits are due to transport. Air pollution and exposure to NOx is now considered to be a significant risk to health.
The ISO tested removal rate for NOx is 222mg/m2/day.
This means that for every square meter of surface that is sprayed an average of 222mg of NOx will be removed from the atmosphere every day.
In real world terms 9 sqm of coverage will remove the NOx generated by an average vehicle every day!
