Howard Tenens, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned logistics companies has won the prestigious “Livery of the Year Award” at this year’s Motor Transport ceremony.
The 32nd Motor Transport Awards returned to the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane on 4 July 2018 to celebrate, recognise and reward excellence in the road freight transport industry. Motor Transport commented: “Judges loved the stunning design by Howard Tenens that nods in the direction of the BBC’s powerful Blue Planet series, calling it modern, original and very pleasing to look at. A “major and striking” transformation from the previous livery. The judges admired the environmental message that gives a favourable impression not just of the company, but of the whole sector by focusing on the greener fuel powering the truck.”
Following the announcement, Beth O’Neill, Head of Commercial at Howard Tenens commented: “We are absolutely blown away that our vehicle has been named Livery of the Year. Our environmental initiatives are a huge part of the Tenens culture and we recognised we really had something to be proud of and wanted to ensure the vehicles appearance and messaging matched the enormity of the achievement. We loved the design as soon as we saw it and we’re over the moon that the industry has embraced the design as well. Furthermore, a massive thank you has to go to our design team and livery provider for making the idea become a reality!”
The final design took Tenens’ livery providers, RGVA, 4 installers and 36 hours to wrap the vehicle in entirety, including all capping, of which the final result was more stunning and eye-catching than the team could ever have imagined on paper.
Kieran McCabe, RGVA Managing Director, comments: ““I couldn’t be happier that Howard Tenens have won this prestigious award and I’m very proud of the team at RGVA for delivering yet another award winning vehicle wrap!”
