How it works
From survey to handover
Your car stays with one team from the first check to the handover. We do not outsource print or installation.
Survey and paint check
We confirm the car, the colour and the service level, and check the paint. If a panel has chips, rust or a previous respray, we tell you before quoting.
Choose your colour
Pick the colour and finish from the 3M 2080 Series range.
Strip down and preparation
The car is decontaminated, and bumpers, lights, mirrors, handles and trims come off so the film finishes into the panel edges.
Wrapping
Our 3M Approved Vehicle Wrappers fit the film. Silver takes three to four days, Gold and Platinum four to five.
Refit and handover
Trims and fittings go back on. On the Platinum service your car also gets a full valet.
Two week check
A free check two weeks after fitting, once the vinyl has settled and been out in the weather.
About RGVA
Vehicle graphics specialists since 2001
RGVA works only on vehicle graphics. We wrap cars, vans, trucks and trailers from our production facility in Maidstone, Kent, from a single colour change to a national fleet.
Every car is wrapped by our own 3M Approved Vehicle Wrappers, and our car work won 3M Consumer Wrap of the Year in 2020. In May 2026 we opened our Maidstone facility for a Cars and Coffee morning.

Car wrapping questions
How much does car wrapping cost?
A full colour change wrap starts at £2,250 plus VAT for our Silver service, £2,950 plus VAT for Gold including the door shuts, and £3,500 plus VAT for Platinum including the backs of the doors, all in 3M 2080 Series. These are starting prices for a car in sound, unmodified factory paint, so the final price depends on the car and the service level you choose.
How long does it take to wrap a car?
Three to four days for our Silver service, and four to five days for Gold or Platinum, depending on the number of doors. We also give every car a free check two weeks after fitting.
How long does a car wrap last?
A professionally applied car wrap lasts at least five years. Our warranties run from three to eight years depending on the film, and every car wrapped in 3M 2080 Series carries an eight year warranty backed by 3M.
Is wrapping a car worth it?
If you want a new colour that you can reverse, yes. A wrap changes the colour without touching the original paint, protects that paint while it is on, and removes cleanly from sound factory paint when you want the original colour back.
Will a wrap damage my car’s paintwork?
No, provided the original paint is sound and has bonded correctly. Cast vinyl removes cleanly from factory paint, which is why wrapping is safe on lease cars. If the car already has stone chips, rust or a previous respray, removal can lift loose paint or lacquer, so we check the paint at survey and tell you before quoting.
Do I need to tell the DVLA and my insurer?
Yes to both. Tell the DVLA if a wrap changes the colour of your car, even temporarily, and tell your insurer so your cover is not affected.
How do I look after a wrapped car?
Hand wash it with a soft sponge or cloth, rinse with clean water and dry it with a microfibre cloth. A brushless car wash is fine, but avoid brush washes. If you use a pressure washer, keep it below 2,000 psi and at least 12 inches from the edges, and never use solvents or oil based cleaners.
